OMS RECORDING AND PRODUCTION
As the recording industry and music distribution has changed over the last 10 years, we have become primarily a production company for recording artists. We are based in Raleigh, NC, and our small Camp Adventure Studio is located here. We do small group tracking and recording here, but we also partner with several state of the art full production recording studios, owned and staffed by competent technicians and engineers. We can work with these studios for initial tracking when larger, more complex sessions require multiple simultaneous isolation areas. We also prefer to record drum tracks in these studios. We find it advantageous to work in our own Camp Adventure studio for overdubs, editing, and for the final mixing. This allows us to use our custom "toolbox" of processors to create our signature sound, and it also allows more financial flexibility and an increased ability to re-record tracks and revise recordings as necessary. It's a relaxed and comfortable process, with an eye on both a high-quality end product, and the other eye on cost control. Money has to be spent, but it has to be wisely allocated at every stage of the process. We know how to balance those scales. It is what we do.
